A Factory Reset Does Not Qualify
Under South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), organisations are legally obligated to take reasonable measures to destroy or de-identify personal information on devices before disposal. A factory reset leaves data recoverable. Without serialised certificates and a full audit trail, your organisation cannot demonstrate accountability — and cannot easily defend against an Information Regulator inquiry or data breach investigation.

Do you shred paper documents?
No. We handle IT media only: hard drives, SSDs, tapes, laptops, desktops, servers and phones.
Wipe or shred, which do I need?
Wiping to the NIST 800-88 method lets working devices keep resale value. Physical destruction suits failed drives or a policy that requires it. We do both.
Is there a minimum quantity?
